Now that the last penny has been counted, we are delighted to announce the St Albans Round Table Santa Float raised an incredible £34,130 during December!
This is the highest ever total and a real milestone for our community. Thank you!
Night after night, families came out to wave at Santa, drop coins and notes into the buckets, tap their cards on the machines and share a smile with the volunteers walking alongside the float. This is an amazing result and many good causes will benefit from your donations.
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it happen.
To everyone who donated, to our charity partner volunteers who gave up their evenings, collecting, organising and making it happen, despite the very wet weather & challenging conditions.
Most importantly, to everyone in St Albans, London Colney and Redbourn who stood on their doorsteps, in pub gardens and on the streets to welcome Santa and give what they could – thank you!
Your generosity means many local charities and community causes across St Albans will benefit in the coming year. The money raised will help support brilliant work that goes on quietly all year round, long after the Christmas lights have been packed away.

St Albans Round Table is a group of local men aged roughly 18 to 45 who enjoy getting together, having fun and giving something back to the community. Throughout the year we run social events, activities and projects, then in December run this magical Santa Float; full of tradition for the whole city & wider area to enjoy while raising money for local charities.
If you are new to the area, looking to meet people, or simply want to do more for your community, Round Table is a great way to get involved. You do not need any special skills, just a positive attitude and a willingness to have a go.
